Southend United striker Harry Crawford looks set to make his first start of the season against the bottom club in League Two at Edgeley Park Saturday afternoon. Harry Crawford; likes playing against HattersThe travelling Shrimpers faithful making the trip to Stockport Saturday, those who make it for the start thanks to the late change to a 13.00 kick-off, may believe that Boots & Laces has been transported north when they spot the number of youth players on show at Edgeley Park!Though still young himself Harry Crawford is almost a veteran compared wth some of the lads joining him on the first team coach, but he's looking forward to making his first start of the season at the weekend after his brace against the Bulls last Friday coming on as an early substitute, and if Barry Corr doesn't recover Harry will be leading the line on his own!Crawford told www.echo-news.co.uk: "It's been a long season for me and it would be great to start again tomorrow. Nobody likes being on the bench but I've understood the situation and the fact we have some good and experience strikers at the club. I've learnt from them on the training ground and it was great to get a couple of goals against Hereford. It was good for my confidence and hopefully I'm in the manager's thoughts now. But I understand if I would be back on the bench." Don't worry about that Harry!  And he has history against the Hatters, scoring his only other senior goal in Southend's 2-1 win over County in the final home game of last season.Crawford continued: "I have good memories of playing against Stockport and hopefully after Saturday I will have some more. It's a big game because they are fighting for their lives and we're fighting for the play-offs so we both need to go out there and get the three points." Best of luck mate, and all the team in what is now going to be a very tough clash against the bottom-of-the-table side.
