Blues centre-back Bilel Mohsni has signed a new two-year deal that will see him staying a Shrimper until 2012. Bilel Mohsni; probably speaks better English than his managerDefender has impressed both management and fans alike since joining the club from the amateur leagues of Paris in the summer. And now the 22-year-old French Tunisian has put pen to paper committing himself to the Shrimpers until 2012, where he's been enjoying his football since getting international clearance to play for the first team.Bilel told www.southendunited.co.uk: "I still have a lot to learn but hopefully we can continue to improve and move up the league. There was never any doubt that I wanted to extend my time with the club."The new agreement contains an option of a further year with Southend if both parties wish it come the time. However, it was only a few days ago that Blues boss Paul Sturrock was giving the centre-half a hard time, blaming him for both goals in the 2-1 defeat at Northampton last weekend. It shows he cares of course, and Luggy never had any intention of dropping the player for the match against bottom-of-the-table Morecambe Saturday afternoon at Roots Hall.Sturrock told www.echo-news.co.uk: "I do have a decision to make about him but he's not going to learn from mistakes if he's not in the team. He's not going to lose his place for last Saturday but I don't think he's been at his best for the last two games now. That's always going to happen with a player like him because he's a novice in the professional game. I'm very hopeful he will be back to near his best tomorrow though because he's already proved he's an exciting player for us."
