Hammers date for Shrimpers
Southend have announced a pre-season friendly against Premier League West Ham at Roots Hall on Tuesday.
Boss Paul Sturrock will pit his side against Avram Grant`s Hammers just four days before their League Two opener at home to Stockport.
West Ham have confirmed they will bring their full first-team squad for the 7.45pm kick-off, meaning the likes of Scott Parker, Robert Green and Matthew Upson are expected to be on show.
