Hall keen to grab second chance
Southend winger Ryan Hall admits he is lucky to have been given a second chance in the Football League, following his goal in a victory at Rotherham.
The 23-year-old, who scored after only 2-1 seconds at the Don Valley Stadium, started his career as a trainee at Crystal Palace before switching to non-league Bromley.
Speaking to the club's official website, Hall said: "I was playing non-league and I thought my chance had gone.
"It was difficult because being a professional footballer is what I always wanted to be.
"I kept my head down and worked hard while I was with Bromley, hoping my chance would come.
"Thankfully Southend have given me that opportunity and I want to make the most of it."
