Hall: 'I've been disappointed by how I've been playing'

Southend United wideboy Ryan Hall nearly put pen to paper for their Boxing Day opponents Aldershot Town two seasons ago and would love to show the home crowd what they've been missing.

Hall: 'We’re determined to end this bad run we’re on by getting a good result'

Shrimpers winger Ryan Hall is hoping to show the Shots at the Rec on Monday afternoon that they let go a very good player who while not in the best of form at the moment, along with the rest of the side, remains the club's top scorer on nine goals.

Hall told www.echo-news.co.uk: “It was a couple of seasons ago now but I did almost signed for Aldershot. It was all quite close to being done but we couldn’t agree personal terms in the end. I was quite a long journey to make and I wouldn’t have been able to afford to keep on doing it so I ended up playing non league with Bromley. Therefore, it would be great if I could play well on Boxing Day and get a goal to help us get back to winning ways.”

While still in second place the team have failed to win in their last six outings, in fact losing the last four games in succession, something the former Crystal Palace trainee is hoping to help turn around.

Hall said: “I’ve been disappointed by how I’ve been playing but we’ve had a rest now so hopefully that can help both myself and the team. Aldershot will make it hard for us though because they’re very good at home and in Danny Hylton they have a dangerous and in form striker. He’s one we will have to keep an eye on but we’re determined to end this bad run we’re on by getting a good result.”

And that Ryan, would be the perfect Christmas gift for all who follow the Shrimpers.
