Hall: 'It is frustrating not being in the team'

The Shrimps of Morecambe FC: Southend United winger Ryan Hall is obviously in the best of form, but that can't guarantee him a place in the side against Morecambe Saturday!

Hall: 'Of course I would love to start on Saturday'

A website wrote the other day that the success of Southend's season long term could depend on three players, Bilel Mohsni, Anthony Grant and Ryan Hall, all of whom have been sitting on the subs bench recently, but coming on in the second half to great escape, or from the start if it's the Johnstone's Paint Trophy!

However, Blues boss Paul Sturrock will not change from his present preferred starting eleven, home or away, and the dangerous wideboy Hall, more assists than anyone in League Two last season and not doing too badly in this one, has no guarantee that he can change Luggy's mind in time for Saturday afternoon's top six clash with Morecambe at Roots Hall.

Hall told www.echo-news.co.uk: “Of course I would love to start on Saturday because my confidence is really high at the moment and I feel like I’m playing well. I don’t know if I will, because that’s the manager’s decision. But if I’m sub again then I’ll just have to do my best if I get on. It is frustrating not being in the team but I will just have to do the best I can to catch the manager’s eye and get back in.”

We know Ryan has done enough to catch Luggy's eye, his 'crossing macjine', but is that enough?
