06 November 2010 15:52
The Shrimpers went into break level after Colin Daniel found the back of the net as early on but debut boy loanee from Queens Park Rangers Anton German equalised from the spot. Blues boss Paul Sturrock was as good as his word as Johnny Herd failed the make the team in left-back Peter Gilbert's absence, instead Luke Prosser found himself in the side as did Sofiene Zaaboub. Both loanees signed Friday, Jack Midson and Antonio German, as both Barry Corr and Blair Sturrock were rested. And after Colin Daniel gave Macclesfield the lead with a low shot in the area as early as the 8th minute, it was the QPR teenager German that stepped up, that's the cockiness of youth for you, to equalise from the penalty spot, given just after the half-hour when Aristote Nsiala was adjudged to have fouled Zaaboub.
