Southend United midfielder Anthony Grant has been the subject of many rumpours to leave, but it seems he just to be wants to be one of the lads on the eve of his possible 150th game for the Blues. Grant: 'It would be great to get a victory in my 150th game' Well, well, if Shrimpers midfielder Anthony Grant gets picked Tuesday evening in the JPT first round tie against Crawley Town it will be his a century and a half in Shrimper colours, who would believe it. Grant told www.echo-news.co.uk: “You want to win every game you play and it would be great to get a victory in my 150th game. I’m pleased to have played so many matches and it would be nice to have a good run in this competition this season. I know Southend have had that in the past before and it would be nice if we could again. To do that we have to get past Crawley, which will be tough, but it would be great if we could build on the win at Port Vale and get some momentum going ahead of Saturday’s game with Northampton Town.” Then again, with the crap he's lived though, most of it just after he signed a two year extention to his contact, bad luck son, you can't blame hom for getting itchy feet, but, at the moment, it seems he's happy to enjoy whatever the south-east Essex coast has to offer. Grant said: “I enjoy it here and I play regularly which is what you want so I’ve never really wanted to leave. I know other people thought differently a couple of seasons ago but I stayed and hopefully we can have some success this season because the gaffer has built a good team.” Conviced he'll stay? We're see.
