French Connection pulls out of Roots Hall

Southend United have confirmed that their two Frenchman, striker Francis Laurent and midfielder Jean-Francois Christophe, have had their contracts cancelled by mutual consent. The not too unsurprising news that Francis Laurent and Jean-Francois Christophe are no longer Shrimpers after expressing their desire to move on, and so they have.Francis could be a frustrating bugger at times, that game against Leeds a couple of October's ago, while the away game at Stockport last season saw him destroy that teams left back in a way I haven't seen since Stanley at his best went past players with ease.As for Jean-Francois, he lost a lot of support last term, but you try and play at your best when your not getting paid; anyway, he always put in a tough tackle and even if his heading ability was never great, along with his passing abilty at times, his goal at Wycombe last August was a joy.And anyone who says Bailey was 'rolling around like a dog' is OK by me!Best of luck lads. The Laurent FilesPersonal informationDate of birth2 January 1986 (1986-01-02) (age 24)Place of birthParis, FranceHeight6 ft 3 in (1.91 m)Playing positionStriker/WingerSenior career*YearsTeamApps†(Gls)†2005-2006FC Sochaux-Montbéliard B12(0)2006-2007SV Eintracht Trier 0514(4)2007-2008FSV Mainz II25(7)2007-2008FSV Mainz6(0)2008-2010Southend United56(9)* Senior club appearances and goals counted for the domestic league only and correct as of 17:56, 25 April 2010 (UTC).† Appearances (Goals).(Player information supplied by Wikipedia, for the full article go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francis_Laurent)The Christophe Files(Player information supplied by Wikipedia, for the full article go here: )
