Francis snubs Peterborough switch

The Shrimpers confirmed on Thursday they had accepted a bid from Posh for the 24-year-old, however having given permission for Francis to talk to Posh, the player was unable to agree personal terms.[LNB]The former Sheffield United right-back, who has started all but one of Southend's games this season, insists he is fully focused on maintaining his good form for Steve Tilson's side.[LNB]He told the club's official website: "I listened to what Peterborough had to say but it didn't seem right at the moment.[LNB]"I think staying at Southend is right for me because I'm enjoying my football and I'm very settled living in this area."[LNB]He added: "It's obviously nice that a club from a higher level have seen you play and want to sign you and, as a player, you do want to play as high as you can. But I have no interest in leaving Southend."[LNB][LNB]
