The lad himself, for now, is only thinking about Roots Hall and making sure his present side remain at the top of League Two. Ferdinand said: “You can’t let it get to you and you have no choice but to focus on your game and carry on. You can’t be affected by any of it and just have to try to keep on playing well to help the team get good results." Fair enough, and it was certainly no easy ride for the Blues who were pushed all the way by a determined Daggers before Ferdy's goals and a lovely Liam Dickinson strike made sure the points returned to the south-east of Essex. Ferdinand concluded: “It was a tough derby game and Dagenham really had a go at us.
