Former Shrimpers striker Craig Calver has been released by League One club Yeovil Town after returning from Conference South Champions Billericay Town where he was on loan. Craig Calver; another league cahnce gone20-year-old forward Craig Calver has had an unhappy time with Yeovil Town, and after joining Billericay Town on loan this season, the second time he's been at the club and ending up spending most of his time on the bench, the not surprising news that he's looking for another club once againIn fact, the bench is where poor Craig seems most comfortable, as with the Shrimpers that's the closest he got to a first team apppearance, Calver had been given a one-year contract as part of the developmental squad after being part of the Youth Alliance Championship winning under-18 side a couple of seasons ago. It's been a similar story with the Glovers with just six substitute appearances totalling under an hour since joining the Somerset club in March 2010 from AFC Sudbury. It's starting to look that the diminutive striker, Craig stands at 5ft 10 ins., could struggle to make the grade in league football but will find life easier in the Isthmian League Premier Division and we wish him well. The Calver FilesPersonal informationFull nameCraig Tony Calver[1]Date of birth20 January 1991 (1991-01-20) (age 20)Place of birthCambridge[2], EnglandHeight1.78 m (5 ft 10 in)Playing positionStrikerClub informationCurrent clubBraintree Town(on loan from Yeovil Town)Youth career2007-2009Ipswich Town2009-2010Southend UnitedSenior career*YearsTeamApps†(Gls)†2009-2010Southend United0(0)2009→ Harlow Town (loan)2(1)2009→ St Albans City (loan)4(0)2010→ Braintree Town (loan)5(1)2010AFC Sudbury9(2)2010-Yeovil Town5(0)2011-→ Braintree Town (loan)0(0)* Senior club appearances and goals counted for the domestic league only and correct as of 19:52, 14 March 2011 (UTC).† Appearances (Goals).(Player info supplied by Wikipedia, for the full article go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Craig_Calver)
