Southend United striker Barry Corr scored his 15th goal of the season when he headed home against Northampton Town Saturday, and he played through the pain barrier to do it! Corr: 'We work a little routine from set plays'The Shrimpers and Cobblers grabbed a point each at Roots Hall Saturday afternoon when the League Two clash finished 1-1.And it was injury prone striker Barry Corr, who is still struggling with various knocks and strains, that popped up at a corner to get it.However, from what he tells us, and once with Swindon Town he had to sign a disclaimer that could have saved the insurance company involved a few bob, we're lucky he's out there at all!Good news that the next game is a few days away when the Shrimpers travel to Morecambe.Corr told www.echo-news.co.uk: "It probably sounds worse than it was, but I had a few stress fractures in my back and the doctor wouldn't let me play, so I did have to sign a disclaimer before I could play. Right now, I actually only have about three injuries, which is good for me, but it was great to be back out there and to also get another goal." And so say all of us!What was a particular pleasure for the home faithful was the way the team kept to the task after so many games in so short a time and that the equaliser was a class affair, big Baz moving off his marker at speed to head home a Ryan Hall corner accurately and powefully passed the Cobblers keeper who had no chance, great stuff. Corr continued: "We work a little routine from set plays and it was pleasing it worked again, especially after we went a goal behind. It was hard out there because the pitch was heavy and a lot of the lads have played a number of games in quite a short space of time, so I think we did well to battle back." Put your feet up Barry, well until Luggy calls you out on to the training pitch that is, you and the rest of the lads deserve it.Catch the Corr goal here, it's well worth it:www.southendunited-mad.co.uk/news/tmnw/no_shrimpers_blocks_caught_on_camera_just_two_good_goals_in_cobblers_clash_651855/index.shtml
