Corr keen to change his ways

Southend's new striker Barry Corr has told the club he will try to improve his disciplinary record. In his time at Exeter last season the Irishman was sent off three times over the course of the campaign. He is now determined to improve his poor disciplinary record for his new club, whom he will sign a two-year contract with once their transfer embargo is lifted. "Some things happened last season which I'm not particularly proud of and I don't want them to happen again," he told his club's official website. "You obviously miss games after being sent off, which isn't nice, and the feeling after it happens is horrendous. "I don't want it to happen again and I don't want to let down my new team-mates."
