Colchester United Vernon before Oldham Athletic

Blues loanee striker Scott Vernon Vernon:Vernon told "It's always the first match I look for when the fixtures come out because Oldham is where it all started for me. I first joined when I was 15 and I will always be grateful for the chance they gave me. It's always a nice place to play but it will be a very tough game. We know we need to win every match we have left and we will continue to give our all for each other, the manager and the fans." Meanwhile, it's all gone quiet on any talks with his parent club where he has two months left on his contract with the Framers.Vernon told BBC Essex: "Nothing's been said. I've not spoken to the manager (Boothroyd) since I joined Southend. Whether I will be speaking to him in the near future remains to be seen." Doesn't look good there, and to be honest with his displays for the Shrimpers I wouldn't think Tilly will be pushing him into putting pen to paper.
