Championship winger about to sign before Port Vale clash?

04 January 2012 12:17
The Evening Echo has suggested this morning that a wideboy from the second tier could be in place for Saturday's League Two match with the Valiants, any suggestions?

The Echo has reported Wednesday that the Shrimpers are on the verge of signing a winger from the Championship who could be in place in time for the weekend clash with Port Vale!

The legendary club source told the paper: “Southend are definitely keen to make more signings during January and a couple more could even be made this week. The Michael Timlin transfer should be made permanent this week and the move for the winger is getting closer too. He’s keen to come here but it’s just a question of sorting out the financial side of things now.”

Who could it be?

This bloke would be good, www.teamtalk.com; well, maybe not, the Hamsters seem to have that one sewn up and League Two might be a bit of a drop!

But more realistically? Your guess is as good as mine, we'll report back after a bit of dectedtive work, and we did get Luke Daniels right a while back.
