"It's an important period for us with two games in three days and we have to prepare in the right way," he told the Echo. "We have Colchester at home on Saturday before heading to Orient on Monday and we need at least four points from those matches.
"In an ideal world we want six but we're in training on Wednesday and for the rest of the week and we wouldn't have it any other way.
"We're in training on Christmas Day but I wouldn't expect anything else. It's the day before the game so we knew we would be in.
"It's hard at times but for us it's just another normal week."
