Burnley join Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace Championship League One clubs Kane Ferdinand
The Southend United faithful were hoping that by now star youngster Kane Ferdinand would have signed his first pro contract for the club, but rumours persist that his agent is holding them to ransom. BLUES midfielder Kane Ferdinand is not sure how his contract talks are progressing with the club. The Roots Hall hierarchy had been confident of tying up a deal for the impressive 18-year-old by the end of last week. However, discussions are still ongoing. "My agent is dealing with it all so I don't know what's happening at the moment," said Ferdinand, who is currently still on a youth team contract with Southend. "I'm enjoying it here though and, if the club make the right kind of offer, then I'll be happy to stay." Ferdinand, a product of Blues' youth system, had featured in 11 successive games before missing Tuesday night's win over Barnet with an ankle injury.
