Brush happy for Franck to wing it
The 19-year-old was an impressive performer in the second half of the recent campaign after being sent on loan to Wycombe at the start of the season.
And Brush feels that the way that Moussa has developed over recent months means that he will end up as a winger rather than a central midfielder.
"Franck has caused us problems in that respect and it is the type of thing you constantly think about," he told Southend's official website.
"In the final few months of the season he looked very comfortable on the left-hand side.
"Franck improved massively and really did catch the eye so we know he's able to play out there if necessary."
