Brady: 'Making sure we keep heads our above water but I want to get out of this division'

Southend United CEO Tara Brady is certainly taking the heat off Uncle Ron as his interviews with the media just keep coming, this time the Beeb. Brady: 'I can't see (Fossett's Farm) going past the autumn' Southend United's chief executive Tara Brady insists the club's finances are getting better all the time, that is we are losing more than £60,000 a month instead of £100,000, blimey, I didn't think Paterson was paid that much, they've got some dosh up in Fife. Brady told BBC Essex: "My key initiative since coming in is making sure we can keep our heads above water. I want to maintain the cost base we've got, its not ideal, we're losing money, but I want to get out of this division." Well, we're certainly giving at a go as according to Brady we are in the top seven of pay earners, let me guess Crawley at No.1, and have hit our 55% pay over revenue target. Anyhow Tara, what about Fossett's Farm? Time for that spin machine to take another turn. He said: "Everything's in progress, there are smaller barriers, which nevertheless need to be overcome to get the first digger in the ground. I can't see it going past the autumn. I genuinely think that with probability, but obviously there's a hope value in there as well. There's dependencies that we can influence, they're not completely in our control." Phew! In Tara speak you can take that as 'everything's crossed, but don't put a bet on it.' Autumn 2020 anyone?
