Blues boss escapes ban

Blues boss Paul Sturrock has escaped a ban by the Football Association after being sent to the stand following Stockport County's controversial opener on Saturday. No ban for the Blues boss after being sent to the standSouthend manager Paul Sturrock was dismissed from the touchline on Saturday at Roots Hall after Stockport's 83rd minute opener was given despite linesman Marvin Thompson raising his flag, and then deciding to lower it just as quickly!After Boss Sturrock came on the pitch to have a word or two with referee Iain Williamson poor old Luggy was sent off and ended up in the stand!However, the good news is the FA will take no further action and Sturrock will not have to serve a touchline ban.Paul will now be seen in his usual place for Tuesday's Carling Cup First Round match against Bristol City.
