Bilel is back but Ryan is out!: Shrimpers injury update

Southend United's Bilel Mohsni has not been out of the headlines this week and will be available for Saturday's League Two clash with Port Vale, but will manager Sturrock select him?

Two goals on your return Bilel, that would do nicely thanks!

He's back, and Luggy loves him for his 'assets', but after recovering from his toe injury, will Blues boss Paul Sturrock pick him?

Mohsni has not been seen in the team since being sent off at Oldham in the second round Cup replay, wonder if he'll be watching the Liverpool-Latics game on ESPN tonight?

In fact what starting eleven will the veteran Scot start with; EEB has gone for a very attacking line-up with Martin and Hall out wide and Dickinson and Benyon in the central forward positions; I'd love to see it but not sure it's Luggy's style.

Personally believe Kalala, Ferdinand or even both, will start to shore up the defence, the Valiants may have some injury problems but they have some dangerous players going forward and our left-back position along with Chris Barker's form since returning from his calf problem, is making us vunerable back there.

However, midfielder Ryan Leonard is out with a ligament problem in his knee, joining sicknotes Lee Sawyer (thigh) and Barry Corr (knee) watching from the stands.

Glenn Morris will certainly be welcomed back as the Shrimpers No.1 with Luke Daniels, a top replacement, returning to parent club West Brom after his loan spell ended after the Daggers draw.

With so many of the top League One sides involved in the third round of the FA Cup, sob, sob, the Shrimpers can go second with three points at the weekend.
