Bilel freak fridge injury will still see him fit for Cobblers clash!

It could only be Bilel! The tempremental French Tunisian is determined to keep his cool when Southend United take on Northampton Town at Sixfields on Saturday, despite dropping a fridge on his foot!

Mohsni: 'I don’t mind staying (as a sub) if the team keeps on winning 3-0 every week'

The Shrimpers favourite defender, winger, goal scoring centre forward, Bilel Mohsni, is back in the fold.

However, for the weekend's League Two clash at Northampton Town that may probably mean sitting on the bench with a foot covered in bandage!

Mohsni told www.echo-news.co.uk: “I will definitely be OK for the weekend but I am still in quite a lot of discomfort with my toe. My mum had a new fridge delivered and I was helping my dad move it to where we wanted it to go. My dad slipped while we were trying to do that though and the fridge landed on my toe which was very painful indeed. The toe isn’t broken but it does hurt a lot when it’s in a shoe because it feels very compressed. But I’m happy to play with it feeling like that and I’m sure it will be OK for the weekend.”

It really could only be Bilel! But it was certainly encouraging to see him in Blues boss Paul Sturrock's good books again.

Who knows it might have helped Liam Dickinson's much improved display against the Valiants, and for opponents to be aware that he's ready to come on as an impact sub if events on the pitch are going pear shaped for us can't be bad!

Mohsni said: “I’m very happy that everything has been resolved. It was good to be in the squad again and I don’t mind staying there if the team keeps on winning 3-0 every week."

With Luggy likely to name an unchanged side for the weekend 'splinter city' is indeed where Bilel should will start the game.
