Baldwin delighted with debut strike

Baldwin, who recently joined the club on loan from Colchester, was on hand to net the equaliser as the Shrimpers battled back from two goals down to claim a valuable point.

But the 27-year-old admits he knew little about his goal at Roots Hall.

"I felt it hit my head but I didn't see it cross the line so it was all quite confusing," he told the club's official website.

"I don't get many goals though and my only other one actually came against Southend, so it was nice to score for the club as well especially on my debut.

"I thought we showed character to come back. The spirit here is great and we need to keep sticking together."
