All hail Hall: 'Fingers crossed that everything goes well for him Thursday'

Southend United 2 Gillingham 2; Next up Steve Tilson's Lincoln City but maybe without the former Crystal Palace youth. Ryan Hall; will be greatly missed if things don't go his way tomorrow morningAll stand for a fair judge on Thursday who believes in community service, if we get the hanging version the rest of the Shrimpers season could go pear-shaped being deprived of the exciting talents of Ryan Hall, the boy is in the form of his life just when his career could be in danger of continuing with Chelmsford Prison FC, don't know where they are in the league.Anyway, Blues boss Paul Sturrock, not surprisingly after Ryan's man-of-the-match performance in the 2-2 draw with Gillinghm Tuesday evening at Roots Hall, was full of praise for the 23-year-old.Sturrock told www.southendunited.co.uk: "As the season has unfolded for Ryan he has grown in confidence and when he got his first goal of the season he has gone on from there. It takes a strong character to go through what Ryan is. I thought it affected him on Saturday but he texted me to tell me not to worry and that he would be totally focused for Tuesday."The former Crystal Palace youth was concerned he may get dropped after his dodgy performance in the 2-1 defeat at Morecambe, but he didn't have to worry, especially as there wouldn't have been a Southend player on the park if poor peformances in that game were to be punished!Sturrock explained: "I think he was worried I was going to take him out of the side but he has proved he has qualities. Fingers crossed that everything goes well for him Thursday as it will be a great shock to him and a big disappointment to everyone at the club if it doesn't."And so say all of us, good luck Ryan.Match report:www.southendunited-mad.co.uk/news/tmnw/its_halls_night_at_the_hall_as_shrimpers_and_gills_share_the_points_655531/index.shtml
