Wotton upbeat on Saints future
Swiss businessman Markus Liebherr took control of the League One side last week and has since parted company with manager Mark Wotte.
Liebherr will install a new management team at the south coast club and although they will start the new season on minus 10 points, Wotton is relishing a new era at the club.
He told the club's official website: "We have to draw a line through all the negatives from last season and start looking at the positive side of things.
"We've got to get our heads around the fact that we're going to be on minus 10 points in League One and look at it as a great challenge. We can't wait to get going again on August 8."
Wotton added: "As players, we are grateful to the new owners for giving us some security and when a new manager is appointed then I'm sure that there will be some exciting times ahead."
