Mark Wotte will discover whether he is to remain as Southampton manager by the end of the week.
The Dutch coach was at the helm of the Saints when they were relegated from the Championship on the back of slipping into administration last month.
Wotte's future at St Mary's has been unclear since the end of the campaign but, with new owners set to take over the club this week, is set to learn whether he will be retained for next season.
His short-term contract agreed when he took over in January expires at the end of June.
"I want to be in charge but if they decide to appoint another manager life goes on and I can deal with that," said Wotte.
