Wotte won't think about Saints future

Saints lost 3-2 at home to bottom club Charlton Athletic on Saturday to sit three points from safety with six games remaining. The defeat followed a bad week for the club after Southampton's owners went into administration, with a new buyer desperately needed. The Football League is examining whether Saints should be hit with a 10-point deduction, but Wotte is confident the club will escape such a punishment. However, the Dutchman fears his own position as manager could come under scrutiny if he is unable to keep Saints in the division. "If we stay in the Championship I'm still here, but if not it's a situation I don't want to think about," said Wotte. "The football club is not in administration so I don't expect any points deduction - that's what I have been told by people who have read the rules. "Derby County did it before and set a precedent, but I don't even care because the most important thing is we stay up. "I can't blame this result on the club's situation. We should not lose against a club like Charlton, but we were very poor defensively."
