While former manager Jan Poortvliet opted to build his side around a nucleus of younger players, Wotte has opted to field Saints' more experienced campaigners such as Jason Euell and Paul Wotton.[LNB]Wotte told the Southern Daily Echo: "Sometimes you put in somebody who is not the best player but is a great character to support other players and keep the team together.[LNB]"Sometimes the older players fulfil this role because they are strong in the dressing room and on the pitch. They know what is asked.[LNB]"We have to find the right blend between the experienced players and young players but also the technical players and the fighting players."[LNB]Meanwhile, youngster Oscar Gobern has been nominated for the Football League's Championship Young Apprentice of the Year award.[LNB][LNB]
