Wilkins calls for speedy appointment
Southampton caretaker boss Dean Wilkins wants the managerial situation at St Mary's resolved early this week.
Saints are still haggling with Scunthorpe over compensation for Nigel Adkins, the man they want to succeed Alan Pardew who was axed last month.
"I think the situation at the club needs to be sorted out as soon as possible regards a new manager," said Wilkins.
"It would lift the club, it would help everyone at the club concentrate on their job and stop all the talking that is going on the at the club at the moment."
