Wilkins at Saints helm

Dean Wilkins takes charge of Southampton for the first time when they begin their defence of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy against Swindon. Wilkins has been placed in temporary charge following Alan Pardew's sacking on Monday morning. He may have to do without midfielder Adam Lallana, who came off with a knock to his knee during Saturday's 4-0 win at Bristol Rovers. Centre-half Dan Seaborne is set to miss out again with a foot injury while full-back Frazer Richardson is still recovering from a dislocated shoulder. New Brazilian midfielder Guly do Prado made his debut as a late substitute on Saturday and should be involved again. David Connolly, Paul Wotton and youngster Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are pushing to be involved.
