The Kingston-upon-Thames born youngster is treading the same developmental path as Gareth Bale did at Southampton. The left back is quick, technically gifted, a good dribbler and excellent at set pieces too. While Bale has since made his name as a winger, Shaw may continue to develop from left back, and will be one youngster Southampton hope to keep hold of – although big clubs are already monitoring his progress.
