Svensson moving back to Sweden
Svensson spent more than seven years at Saints as a player and, latterly, as assistant to Mark Wotte. But his contract expired in the summer and the 34-year-old and his family have now decided to return to their homeland, with a possible coaching role already lined-up. "It's been hard to finally make the decision to leave," to told the Southern Daily Echo. "I don't want to go into details about the job interview I have had in Sweden but it looks like I am going into coaching there. "There is nothing 100 per cent done but it looks promising and that's one of the reasons we're going back. "We have been away for eight years and we always said we'd go back one day and maybe now it's a good time to go. It is for our families as well - our parents have not seen their grandchildren that much and that means a lot to all of us."
