Midfielder Andrew Surman has admitted he is currently "in limbo" while the future of Southampton is resolved.
The former England Under-21 international is wanted by Sheffield United, but until the Saints are taken out of administration he doesn't know where he will be playing next season.
"I haven't thought about it too much until it actually moves forward," he said referring to the interest from the Blades.
"Until the takeover at Saints goes through, then we're in a bit of limbo.
"At this stage I haven't thought any further than going back to Southampton for pre-season on the 22nd June.
"When a serious bid comes in then that's when you have to review your situation, but we're not at that stage yet."
