Strachan admits Saints disarray
The south-coast club's parent company, Southampton Leisure Holdings plc, went into administration on Thursday, leaving the future of the club in uncertainty.
And Strachan, who took the Saints to the 2003 FA Cup final, admits he cannot understand the club's dire financial situation.
"It's perplexing to be honest with you, I just don't know how that happened," he said.
"I was telling my friends I had never seen a club so well run as Southampton."
