Jason Euell's early miss and two more late in the game by Andrew Surman cost Southampton a vital win in their battle against relegation as they were forced to settle for a scoreless draw against Rangers.[LNB]Injury-hit QPR, without seven first-choice players, have now gone nine matches without a win, but still, according to Sousa, entertain play-off hopes.[LNB]The QPR boss said: "We can still make the play-offs, but it is hard when you are without six or seven of your best players.[LNB]"We have had to bring in 17-year-olds, and it is not easy to push and motivate a squad when all your best players are absent.[LNB]"The teams above us are not pulling away, so there is a chance for us to qualify for the play-offs even now."[LNB]Southampton coach Mark Wotte lamented the failure to win at home for the second successive match.[LNB]Saints now only have three more matches at home, and Wotte believes it might be easier for his team to play the majority of their remaining fixtures away.[LNB]Wotte said: "The good thing is that we have edged closer to those teams above us, but I admit we should have won one of the two home games we have had in the last few days.[LNB]"We need to take the chances when they come our way, which is what we were doing when we had a little run of victories recently against Preston, Cardiff and Ipswich.[LNB]"I am not worried about playing five matches away from home, because I think we play better away, and they are against teams around us in the table, so there is a great chance.[LNB]"I felt we looked livelier when I sent on Jake Thomson and Bradley Wright-Phillips as substitutes, because they gave us a bit of pace, and that was something I felt we had lacked throughout the game."[LNB][LNB]
