Smith sets sights on Saints side
The former Millwall wideman has made just one substitute appearance since January but is eager to play a part in Saints' bid to beat the drop to League One.
"The first team have got an important run-in so hopefully I will get a chance because I haven't had a game for a while," he said.
"It's been very frustrating personally. I always set myself high standards and I expect to be there or thereabouts but I haven't been recently for whatever reason.
"I'm just going to do what I do best, work hard and see what comes of it."
