Brighton have agreed to sign goalkeeper Michael Poke on a free transfer from Southampton. The 24-year-old will officially join his new club on a one-year deal on July 1 when his contract at St Mary's expires. Seagulls boss Gus Poyet told the club's official website: "We are delighted to bring a goalkeeper like Michael to the squad. He is young and has the kind of personality that we are looking for. "He will come here to challenge for the number one spot, and that is the type of player we want - one who will be challenging for a starting place every week."
