Saints wait on Lambert

Southampton will check on striker Rickie Lambert ahead of the visit of Oldham.Lambert required stitches after taking a nasty whack to the head against Huddersfield last Saturday but Saints are hopeful he will be fit.Skipper Dean Hammond serves a one-match ban after collecting his fifth booking of the season at the weekend with France under-21 international Morgan Schneiderlin his likely replacement.Frazer Richardson could finally be in line for his debut some four months after joining the club from Charlton.Richardson suffered a dislocated shoulder in pre-season but has proved his fitness in the reserves and will push Danny Butterfield for the right-back slot.Midfielder Paul Wotton is still sidelined with a back injury and striker David Connolly has a stomach problem.
