Southampton manager Nigel Pearson has bolstered his defensive options by signing the experienced Luton Town player Chris Perry on loan until the end of the season.
The 34-year-old former Tottenham, Wimbledon, Charlton and West Brom defender has been a regular in the Luton defence this term, making 44 appearances for the cash-strapped League One side.
Pearson told the Saints' official website: "He'll give us greater strength and further options and I'm delighted he's joining us."
Southampton are in danger of being relegated to League One and are currently only two points above the drop-zone with six games of the season remaining.
