Grzegorz Rasiak is delighted to have made his loan move from
Tottenham to Southampton permanent and is looking forward to continuing his good relationship with Saints boss George Burley.
The Poland international played under Burley at Derby County and is looking to repay the faith the Southampton manager has shown in him following the 27-year-old's £2million transfer from Spurs.
"I have enjoyed my time here and I am happy to be here. I know the manager well from my time at Derby and I am sure we will do well under him," Rasiak told the Saints' official website.
"I think I have done OK so far and the team is playing much better. It is looking good for next season. I am very happy here and want to stay longer - and it has been good preparation for the World Cup which I am now looking forward to."
Rasiak scored four goals in 13 appearances for Southampton after joining the club on loan in February.
He started only four Premiership games for Spurs following his August move from Derby to White Hart Lane. The striker made his name with the Rams - scoring 18 Championship goals during the 2004-05 campaign.
