Southampton have launched an appeal against Gregory Vignal's red card in Tuesday's 2-2 draw at Wolves.
The Frenchman had made it 1-1 when he scored a penalty with 15 minutes left but was then dismissed for an 81st minute bust-up with Sylvan Ebanks-Blake.
The Saints decided to proceed with their appeal after studying video evidence of the incident.
If Vignal loses his appeal he will be suspended for three matches.
