Southampton have signed Daniel Seaborne for an undisclosed fee from League One rivals Exeter. The defender has featured regularly for the Grecians this season but is now focussing on a new chapter in his career after penning a three-and-a-half-year contract at St Mary's. Seaborne was part of the Exeter side that lost 3-1 at Southampton on Boxing Day, and he told the club's official website: "The fans sounded amazing on that day. "I was on the opposite team so there were a couple of boos thrown my way, but it was a good experience. "We played at Leeds this season, but this place is right up there with the best place I've played at, and the crowd played its part in that." On the prospect of facing his former club next month, he added: "I'd love to be involved when we play down there, but Saturday's game at Millwall is the most important game for me at the moment. Hopefully I'll be in the team this weekend, put in a good performance and go from there."
