Saints rocked by Gillett injury blow

The 23-year-old, who has made 29 appearances for Saints this term, suffered torn knee cartilage in training which will sideline him for up to six weeks. "It's a big blow because Simon has been one of our key players over the last six weeks and so this comes as very bad news," said boss Mark Wotte. "It was very unlucky for him because we had a good training week and he just turned awkwardly. It's one of those unfortunate training-ground injuries where no-one is to blame." Midfielder Anthony Pulis, who has yet to feature for Saints since joining from Stoke in the summer, will also play no further part this season due to a foot injury.
