Saints relishing Ajax friendly
The prestigious friendly for the Ted Bates Trophy will be the first match at St Mary's since Swiss billionaire Markus Liebherr bought the club and Henderson believes it will be quite a boisterous occasion.
"It should be a very good atmosphere," Henderson told the club's official website.
"We are facing top class opposition - a very good team with a decent manager and quality players so it will be a tough test for us.
"We'll have a go, though, and make it as good a spectacle as we possibly can. If we sit back and allow them to play then we might not see too much of the ball because of the quality they have and their style of play, so we have to make sure we're in the mix and that we compete."
