Saints progress after tight clash
Ndiaye Papa Waigo and the impressive Adam Lallana got two goals in four minutes to put Saints into a comfortable interval lead, and when Dean Hammond added a third just before the hour it looked all over.[LNB]Papa Waigo headed Saints into a 41st-minute lead and two minutes later crossed for Lallana to head home the second.[LNB]Hammond headed a third from a Morgan Schneiderlin centre in the 59th minute but six minutes later Adebayo Akinfenwa reduced the arrears with Hammond unable to keep the ball out.[LNB]Ryan Gilligan pulled another goal back in stoppage time from the penalty spot after Chris Perry was adjudged to have handled, but it came too late to alter the outcome.[LNB][LNB]
