Saints complete move for Mellis
The 18-year-old has put pen to paper in time to be considered for Saints' trip to Huddersfield on Saturday.
Mellis was part of the Blues side which reached the 2008 Youth Cup final, playing alongside current Southampton defender Jack Saville, and has represented England at under-16, under-18 and under-19
level.
His favoured position is in central midfield, although he can also fill in at centre-half or full-back.
