Hammond, who began his career with the Seagulls, captained Saints during Wednesday night's Johnstone's Paint Trophy win over Charlton.[LNB]The 26-year-old midfielder is showing the form which persuaded Pardew to snap him up from Colchester over the summer with Southampton on an eight-game unbeaten run.[LNB]Pardew said: "We've got good players and they're confident at the moment, you can see that.[LNB]"Dean Hammond was outstanding.
