Southampton have been boosted by the news David Prutton is fit and available again after recovering from an ankle injury.
The midfielder has been forced to miss the last ten weeks with the injury, but, after coming through 90 minutes for the reserves on Wednesday night, Prutton is now in line to return to action against Crystal Palace this Saturday.
Prutton has had a miserable season and had only just recovered from a broken foot before he picked up the ankle injury.
"I'm ready if the manager needs me and it would be nice to be involved before the end of the season," said Prutton.
"Although with the lads going so well lately, he might not want to change things."
