Pearson worried by Saints

New Southampton boss Nigel Pearson was left under no illusions about the task in hand after seeing his side stumble to a 2-0 defeat at home to Plymouth Argyle. The Saints are 18th in the Championship table and just six points clear of the relegation zone. Pearson said after the reverse: "I am under no illusions about what a hard job this is going to be. "I saw good things at some points in the game, but there are lots of others that we have to work on. "Myself and the players are going to have to work hard out on the training ground to get where we all want the club to be. "I learnt some things about the players tonight. Some things I liked and some things I didn't."
